Theater is community and we hope to create a new kind of training program for your child who longs for center stage.

where does the name ghost light come from?

the name ghost light comes from superstitious theater folklore of a single caged lightbulb that is placed centerstage every night at the conclusion of the performance. The ghost light illuminates the stage and allows light for the spirits who inhabit the theater to reminisce their days of performing without interrupting the current production.

Of course, the modern day use and necessity of safety also plays into the practicality and importance of the ghost light. The bulb lights the edge of the stage so it can be seen so there are no accidental falls into the orchestra pit.
